I changed the backdrop for mountains in Nepal although the monastery is on the Tibetan plateau in Ladakh, India, sshh! artistic license.

Rangdum monastery is in Ladakh, India on the Tibetan plateau. A barren and wild place I visited and stayed with the monks there while exploring this amazing area.
